Before making their next business move, TieTek’s executive team can seek advice from six veterans in the transportation, finance, manufacturing and other fields.

The North American Technologies Group Inc. (NATK) subsidiary recently formed a board of advisors comprising Bruce Babbitt, Robert Thornton, Charles Marshall, Brad Schoenberg, Matthew Kness and Justin Oberman. The men will help TieTek, which produces composite ties, set and attain business goals.

Babbitt previously served as Secretary of the Interior under President Bill Clinton from 1993 to 2001 and governor of Arizona from 1978 to 1987; Thornton recently retired as vice chairman of JPMorgan Chase; Marshall recently retired as vice chairman of Genesee & Wyoming Inc.; Schoenberg and Kness are founders and owners of plastic recycler B. Schoenberg & Co.; and Oberman recently resigned as assistant director for transportation threat assessment and credentialing for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Administration.

“These discerning leaders are committed to building our business and continuing to grow the adoption of our high-performance railroad ties and other structural products,” said TieTek and NATK Chief Executive Officer Neal Kaufman in a prepared statement.
