Rail News: Maintenance Of Way
The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) recently awarded a multi-year, track inspection services contract to ENSCO Inc.
Specifically, ENSCO’s rail group will provide track geometry and rail profile testing services for WMATA’s mainline, yard and third-rail track.
To complete the work — which represents the company’s entry into the hi-rail track geometry test market — ENSCO plans to use its “latest inspection service truck,” according to an ENSCO statement.
