NS names 13 Thoroughbred Sustainability award winners

Norfolk Southern Railway last week announced this year's recipients of its annual Thoroughbred Sustainability Partner Awards.

The awards recognize the railroad's partners that are leaders in energy efficiency, innovation and environmental stewardship, NS officials said in a news release.

This year's winners are:
• ConGlobal and Dell Technologies for energy efficiency;
• Fastenal, Kunz GmbH, Loram, Outokumpu, Phillips 66, The Greenbrier Cos., Schneider and Sheetz Inc. for innovation; and
• COSCO Shipping Lines, Evergreen Line and HCL Technologies for environmental stewardship.

A cross-department team from NS reviewed applications for partners' measurable progress during 2022. Winners were selected based on their sustainability program's novelty, relevance and impact.
