Norfolk Southern: Ledoux becomes VP of government affairs, Maestri to retire

Norfolk Southern Corp. announced yesterday that Marque Ledoux will become vice president of government affairs on Jan. 1, 2019. He will succeed Bruno Maestri, who is retiring from the Class I.
Ledoux joined NS in 2003 as assistant VP of government affairs. Prior to joining the company, he worked for FedEx for 16 years in public relations and government relations positions. In his new role, he will continue to be based in Washington, D.C., and report to John Sheib, executive VP of law and administration.
"Marque’s knowledge and experience will continue to serve Norfolk Southern well as our nation’s new representatives assume offices from the Capitol to the smallest community we traverse," said Scheib in a press release. "His insight and understanding provide a valuable bridge between our company, the communities we serve, and legislators and regulators at all levels of government."
Maestri will retire after serving more than 23 years at NS. His roles over that time ranged from environmental protection to communications to government affairs.
"Bruno has represented Norfolk Southern admirably and effectively since 1995. We are grateful for the support he has contributed, on so many issues, for over two decades," said NS Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer James Squires.
