Amtrak signs on with SupplyPro to cut supply costs

Amtrak recently inked a deal to use SupplyPro® Inc.’s SupplyBay system in is Bear, Del., coach car repair facility to reduce its inventory costs by decreasing the number of drill bits, batteries and small tools employees expend daily, while also ensuring the items remain stocked and available.

"In the short time we have been using the SupplyPro system, we have noticed a definite cost savings," said Thomas Butler, an Amtrak general manager, in a prepared statement. "We definitely plan on purchasing more of these systems for our other repair facilities."

SupplyBay is a high-security system for small tools or materials, designed for single-item dispensing and inventory management control.
