Federal Transit Administration March 7 announced two one-day sessions to be held in Los Angeles and Chicago to assist agencies in reporting safety and security data according to National Transit Database reporting requirements.

FTA began collecting data Jan. 1; the first monthly reports were due Feb. 28. Typically, agencies’ risk or safety managers are responsible for reporting data.

The first session is scheduled to be held April 4 at Hyatt Regency Los Angeles at Macy’s Plaza. The second, April 18 at The Palmer House Hilton in Chicago. Sessions run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Although there is no charge for the sessions, FTA requires attendees to register after March 11 by contacting Jennifer Binder at AECOM Consulting Transportation Group at 703-645-6846 or jennifer.binder@aecomconsult.com.
