GO Transit cars to gain new life

Greater Toronto Area’s GO Transit Dec. 11 awarded Bombardier Transportation a $30 million contract to refurbish 71 bi-level passenger rail cars including 36 coaches and 15 cab cars that have been in service since 1982.


Bombardier — which would perform the work at its Thunder Bay, Ontario, facility — plans to complete the work by year-end 2004.
