Bombardier Inc. Dec. 6 announced several changes to its executive-level line-up.

Jean-Yves Leblanc was named chairman of Bombardier Transportation, while Bombardier Capital President and Chief Operating Officer Pierre Lortie was named president and chief operating officer of Bombardier Transportation and will be responsible for the group’s performance and management, and for the integration of Adtranz. In August, DaimlerChrysler AG announced plans to sell Adtranz to Bombardier for $725 million, subject to regulatory approval. Leblanc’s and Lortie’s appointments are effective immediately.

Also, Bombardier Transportation Executive Vice President Michel Baril was appointed president and chief operating officer for Bombardier Recreational Products.

Baril would succeed Pierre Beaudoin, who was named president of Bombardier Aerospace, Business Aircraft. Beaudoin, in turn, would succeed Robert Gillespie, who was appointed president and chief operating officer, Bombardier Capital. Baril’s, Beaudoin’s, and Gillespie’s promotions would be effective Feb. 1.
