Beginning June 6, Sound Transit will expand Sounder commuter-rail service between Seattle and Everett.

The agency will add a second peak-hour, round-trip train on the line three months ahead of schedule. Sound Transit worked with BNSF Railway Co. to complete environmental impact reports and obtain necessary permits.

During morning rush hour, trains will leave Everett at 6:10 a.m. and 6:40 a.m., and arrive in Seattle at 7:08 a.m. and 7:38 a.m. During evening rush hour, trains will leave Seattle at 4:33 p.m. and 5:13 p.m., and arrive in Everett at 5:31 p.m. and 6:11 p.m.
