Metrolink plans to restore service today on the Ventura County line through Chatsworth, Calif., where last Friday one of its commuter trains collided head-on with a Union Pacific Railroad train. Twenty-five people died and more than 130 were injured because of the accident.

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the crash. Metrolink officials on Saturday said the accident was caused by the commuter train's engineer, who failed to stop at a red signal. However, NTSB officials said the commuter railroad's comments on the collision's cause were premature and ordered the agency to withhold further comments pending the investigation, according to Metrolink.
