Metro-North to rehab Tarrytown Station

advertisement

This spring, MTA Metro-North Railroad will begin restoring the historic Tarrytown Station, which was built in 1890 by the New York Central and Hudson River Railroad.

The project calls for installing a new slate roof, gutters and canopy supports; reconstructing three roof dormers that were removed decades ago; and replacing all wooden doors and windows. In addition, Metro-North also will widen the sidewalk to enable the roof overhang to be extended to its original dimensions.

DMJM+Harris completed design work for the project. Construction will be completed by Agency Construction under a $1.7 million contract.
