Next month, Progressive Railroading plans to launch HSRupdates.com, a new Web site devoted to high-speed rail.

To go live on Sept. 8, the site will feature a state-by-state listing of near- and long-term HSR plans, as well as projects and proposals, including any work the states have completed to date.

The site also will include profiles on each of the 10 federally designated HSR corridors, and HSR-related news, resources, monthly features and blogs. HSRupdates.com will be updated regularly to provide users access to current and comprehensive information.

Aimed at rail industry suppliers, contractors and engineering firms, as well as state DOTs, transit agencies, freight railroads, rail associations and other industry stakeholders, HSRupdates.com will have free and paid content. Subscribers will pay $199 per year to obtain access to news, the state-by-state listings, corridor profiles and monthly informational highlights.

In addition, subscribers will gain free attendance to an exclusive “On the Fast Track: What Stimulus Funds Mean for High-Speed Rail” Webcast to be held on Sept. 29.
