Participants in the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit District’s (GCRTA) management development program recently launched a Future Leaders Club (FLC), which provides professional development opportunities, career guidance and networking opportunities to emerging leaders within the organization, according to the agency.

The club was created to foster leadership development for employees with various backgrounds at GCRTA. The FLC meets for one hour each month to learn skills from GCRTA and community leaders. Past speakers have included GCRTA General Manager Joe Calabrese; Gale Fisk, executive director, office of management and budget for GCRTA; Keith Sheardown of Bombardier Transportation; and Tony Tomanek of the Employee Resource Council.

The club plans to provide members opportunities to network with other transit professionals and other members of the Cleveland community.
