The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority recently received a $1.45 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation to design the intermodal transit center at Aviation and Century boulevards for the future Crenshaw/LAX line. To be located near L.A. International Airport, the line would connect with the Green Line or Expo light-rail line.

“The transit center will be a key part of the Crenshaw line, linking bus and train travel, easing traffic and making LAX more accessible,” said Rep. Jane Harman (D-Calif.) in a prepared statement.
