BART's SFO ridership spikes over Thanksgiving weekend

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) registered a ridership boost over the Thanksgiving holiday. Between Nov. 24 and 29, 62,200 passengers rode the system to San Francisco International Airport, up 1.1 percent compared with the same 2009 period.

To accommodate the additional riders, BART operated longer trains the days before and after Thanksgiving.
