MBTA selects HDR/Gilbane team for Green Line extension

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority has awarded a $950 million contract for program and construction management of the Green Line extension to HDR/Gilbane Team, a joint venture between HDR Engineering Inc. and Gilbane Building Co.
HDR/Gilbane will provide preliminary design, management of design and construction services for the project, which is slated for completion in 2015.
The project will extend the Green Line, the oldest light-rail line in the United States, from Lechmere Station to Medford, Mass.
