MTA Metro-North Railroad crews have completed the reconstruction of a second Hudson Line track in the area of Sunday's train derailment, allowing full service to resume this morning, the railroad announced.Work that included new ties, ballast, running rails, third rails and a signal system was completed yesterday afternoon and was inspected by Sperry Rail Car, which uses ultrasonic technology, said Metro-North officials in a press release.Reconstruction of Track 4, the most seriously damaged line in the accident, will continue the rest of this week. Ridership on the Hudson Line was about 25 percent below the normal morning peak time on Wednesday, Metro-North officials said.
