The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) last week released data used in an earlier report that called for sweeping operational changes at the agency. The data — which include various monthly reports, employee absenteeism records, staff presentations and several other agency documents — are now housed on a new Web page on the agency's site. The MBTA will add more analyses as they become available, agency officials said in a press release.Commissioned by Massachusetts Gov. Charles Baker, the report provided guidelines for an overhaul of MBTA's budgeting, leadership and workplace practices, and called for the establishment of a Fiscal and Management Control Board."The data and the panel's report shed light on why the system failed this winter and why the people deserve reforms now to overcome the fiscal and operational challenges at the T," Baker said in a prepared statement. Agency officials are working to implement the report's recommendations, according to Stephanie Pollack, Massachusetts Department of Transportation secretary and chief executive officer.
