Later this month, Valley Metro will host two informational meetings to update the public on a study exploring transit options between west Phoenix and Glendale, Ariz.Known as the West Phoenix/Central Glendale Transit Corridor Study, the analysis will determine a route location and type of transit that will best serve the area from 19th Avenue in Phoenix to downtown Glendale. Project planners will decide whether to extend the existing light-rail system or implement bus rapid transit, agency officials said in a press release.At each meeting, Valley Metro staff will present an overview of the recommended route and transit type for the corridor. The meetings are scheduled for Jan. 19 and 20.
