The Maryland Department of Transportation's Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) today will begin redeveloping the Maryland Area Regional Commuter (MARC) Camden Station in Baltimore.

The project calls for expanding the station's waiting area and installing new ticket vending machines, service and information displays and an MDOT MTA police force substation.

The new station design will complement the historic Camden Yards Sports Complex, MDOT MTA officials said in a press release.

Construction is slated to wrap by the end of March 2019. During construction, MDOT MTA's Light RailLink trains will bypass the Camden Station.
