Sound Transit tomorrow will begin the second of three construction periods that will connect the new East Link light-rail tracks to the existing light-rail system in downtown Seattle.
Crews will test the new track and systems on the northbound platform at the International District/Chinatown Station, according to the Sound Transit blog.
The final construction period is scheduled for March 14-15.
The work is part of a 10-week project, dubbed Connect 2020, that will connect light-rail service from downtown Seattle to the East Link extension, which is expected to open in 2023.
