Beginning Nov. 8, New Jersey Transit will restore some weekend service that was cut back due to lower ridership during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Under the fall service adjustment, additional trains will stop at Garwood, Avenel, North Elizabeth, Teterboro and Woodcliff Lake stations.

On the Raritan Valley line, all regular weekend trains will serve Garwood Station; and one to three additional trains will serve stations on the North Jersey Coast and Northeast Corridor Lines.

“As customers continue to return to our system, we are committed to staying ahead of demand to maximize the opportunity for distancing, while we continue to work hard every day to provide the cleanest and safest travel environment for both customers and employees,” NJ Transit President and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Corbett said.
