The Ontario government earlier this week officially reopened the Cooksville GO Transit rail station in Mississauga after completing renovations earlier this fall.

The new GO Transit station building was redeveloped and now includes upgraded pedestrian tunnels to rail platforms, an east pavilion and an integrated six-level parking structure.

EllisDon Infrastructure CGS RER Inc. began construction on the CA$128.4 million station project in 2017. Construction was substantially completed Sept. 3.

The Cooksville station is one of Mississauga's busiest transit hubs, connecting riders to Peel, Halton and Toronto via GO Transit’s Milton train line, local bus service and, eventually, the future Hurontario light-rail line.
