Maryland Purple Line partners short-list 3 design-build contractor teams

Purple Line Transit Partners (PLTP), working  with the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) and the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA), announced the short-listing of three design-build teams to compete for the contract to finish the 16-mile Purple Line light-rail route.

Listed in alphabetical order, the teams are:

• Halmar International
• Maryland Transit Solutions (comprised of Dragados USA Inc. and OHL USA Inc.)
• Tutor-Perini/Lunda, a Joint Venture

In mid March, PLTP will issue a request for proposals to the advancing teams, with selection planned in mid June, PLTP officials said in a press release.
