Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) last week reviewed its top accomplishments in 2021.

Rail-related activities included the following:

• the opening of the Hidden Ridge Station at Carpenter Ranch in Irving, the 65th station in the agency’s network;
• a celebration of 25 years of light-rail service to residents of North Texas;
• the launch of the Discount GoPass® Tap Card pilot project, which provides riders using any one of nine support assistance programs with a 50% discount on the regular price of a pass; and
• the launch of the Joppa Rides program, an on-demand transportation service for the neighborhood of Joppa for the next three years. The city of Dallas is funding the program to mitigate the impact of closing the Linfield Road grade crossing.
