Brightline, the private high-speed railroad company, late last week received two new trains — Bright Green 2 and Bright Pink 2 — destined for its future passenger-rail line in Orlando, Florida.

The trains will be added to the fleet slated to carry passengers between Orlando and South Florida next year, Brightline officials said in a press release. The vehicles arrived July 21 at Brightline's Vehicle Maintenance Facility near Orlando International Airport.

Both trainsets consist of six cars — two locomotives and four passenger coaches — manufactured by Siemens Mobility in Sacramento, California. The trains traveled 3,000 miles across 10 states before arriving in Florida.

Five new trainsets are set for Brightline service in preparation of the Brightline Orlando station opening when the new line is expected to launch in 2023.

Two other trainsets, Bright Red 2 and Bright Blue 2, have already been delivered to Florida. One more trainset is set to be delivered later this year. Bright Red 2 will serve West Palm Beach.
