The Metropolitan Transportation Authority has completed renovation of the 21st Street-Queensbridge Station on the F Subway Line in Queens, New York.

The project is part of New York City Transit's Re-NEW-Vation initiative to rebuild components of certain stations within a 55-hour window. Stations are selected based on planned weekend outages to minimize impact to customers.

MTA plans to renovate 50 stations this year and is on track to complete 34 stations by the end of June, MTA officials said in a press release.

The work on the Queens station included renewing the main entrance awning; repairing concrete and tile on the platform; installing LED light fixtures in poorly lit areas; and repairing damaged stairways. Crews also painted the station and rehabilitated critical back-of-house facilities.
