Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) commuter railroad's ridership in first-quarter 2023 reached 59% of pre-pandemic levels.

Ridership rose to 11.3 million in the quarter, 59% of ridership recorded in Q1 2019, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) officials said in a press release.

PATH quarterly ridership has steadily increased, with Q3 2022 reaching 54% and Q4 2022 reaching 57% of ridership compared to the same quarters in 2019, PANYNJ officials said.

In March, the railroad logged 4.2 million riders, which was the first time that total ridership rose above 60% of pre-pandemic levels.
