Trinity Metro TEXRail service between downtown Fort Worth and DFW International Airport set a ridership record of 103,312 riders last month, a 25% increase from December 2023's level and an all-time high for ridership in a single month.
Trinity Metro officials attributed the record ridership to the safety and reliability of the service, a recently simplified fare structure and an increase in train frequency.
The holiday season also attracted riders, Trinity Metro officials said in a press release.
"With this kind of momentum and continued enthusiasm from our partners and customers, more big things are in store for Trinity Metro TEXRail," said Trinity Metro President and CEO Rich Andreski.
