Alcatel Transport Automation recently received a notice to proceed from London’s Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to provide SelTrac™ Automatic Train Control to London City Airport.

The $5.4 million contract includes upgrading software on the SelTrac system, which provides moving-block technology.

DLR also awarded a $10.7 million contract to Alcatel to update station controller software and install hardware to recognize a new guideway, and integrate the extension to DLR’s entire system.
