ALSTOM sells stake in England-based infrastructure maintenance company
advertisement
ALSTOM recently sold its 51 percent interest in GT Railway Maintenance Ltd., the English rail infrastructure maintenance company, to Carillion plc. for $75 million.
Although pleased with GTRM’s performance, ALSTOM is centering its European service strategy around developing an integrated offering to operators and lessors. Because English operators don’t own rail infrastructure, GTRM doesn’t fit this strategy, said Michel Moreau, president of ALSTOM’s Transport Sector, in a prepared statement.
