The American Public Transportation Association last week announced the Regional Transportation District of Denver as the first-place winner of its 2022 AdWheel Awards.
The AdWheel awards recognize transit agencies and business members for outstanding marketing and communication efforts to highlight best practices and the value of marketing within public transportation.
RTD earned the first-place finish for its "Move Your City" and "Take a Trip." The former focused on employees and how they achieved a rewarding career, while the latter focused on returning ridership to pre-pandemic levels by highlighting RTD's accessibility, geographic reach and cleanliness.
Both campaigns involved digital and social media advertisements. "Move Your City" also featured short "day in the life" videos of RTD's operators and mechanics.
