Additional trams headed for Paris

Paris Transport Authority (Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens ) ordered 13 Citadis™ 300 trams from Alstom Transport for use on existing or expanded tramlines in Paris and surrounding suburbs.
The order is part of a 60-tram, $85 million program to reinforce passenger service on Saint Denis-Bobigny and La Défense-Issy Val de Seine lines.
The 216-passenger capacity (52 seated) low-floor trams may be operated as multiple-unit tramsets.
Delivery is scheduled to begin in March 2002.
