Australian train manufacturer A. Goninan & Co. Ltd. recently ordered nine auxiliary power supply systems from Germany-based transtechnik Group for use on the Prospector/Avonlink replacement high-speed diesel rail cars for the Western Australia Government Railway Commission.

Capable of traveling 124 mph, the new Prospector would shorten travel time between Perth and the gold mining center of Kalgoolie 407 miles away.
