BART contracts Jacobs Group to oversee capital improvement projects

Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) recently awarded a five-year, $15 million engineering services contract to Jacobs Group Engineering Inc.

The firm will help support BART’s capital improvement program by providing engineering services for facilities; train-control, traction power, control and communications systems; mainline and yard infrastructure; automatic fare-collection systems; and computer hardware and software.
