BART scores high in latest customer satisfaction survey

San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) has been improving its rail system, and passengers are noticing the difference.
Results from BART’s latest customer satisfaction survey show four of five passengers are satisfied with the railroad’s services, BART’s highest rating since 1996, according to a prepared statement.
BART attributes the high marks to a 10-year renovation program, which is in its ninth year. Under the program, the railroad has refurbished elevators, escalators and rail cars. Respondents noted those improvements — as well as on-time performance and train frequency — as key factors in their satisfaction.
BART conducts the survey every two years to help focus staff and resources on customer priorities.
