BART service is highly recommended, survey says

Passengers are more pleased than ever with Bay Area Rapid Transit’s (BART) service, according to results of the agency’s latest customer satisfaction survey. Ninety-three percent of the respondents said they would recommend BART to a friend and nearly nine out of 10 said they were satisfied with service — the agency’s highest-ever satisfaction rating.
Agency officials attribute the high marks to improved customer service, better on-time performance (which averages 95 percent) and the recent completion of a 10-year, $1.2 billion renovation program.
Under the program, BART overhauled most of its passenger cars, escalators and elevators, and replaced fare gates and ticket machines.
