The Fort Worth Transportation Authority (The T) has appointed Robert Baniewicz rail project manager. He will be responsible for overseeing the design and construction of the 38-mile Southwest-to-Northeast commuter-rail line, which is scheduled to open in 2013. Baniewicz also will manage other projects for Trinity Railway Express (TRE), which is jointly owned and operated by The T and Dallas Area Rapid Transit.
Baniewicz has 32 years of experience in engineering and project management for U.S. transit- and commuter-rail, and other railroad projects. He previously served Parsons Brinckerhoff in various capacities and worked on TRE’s Railtran commuter-rail project, as well as transit projects in Miami, Phoenix and Cleveland.
