Bombardier opens maintenance facility in England

Bombardier Transportation Sept. 18 opened a $44 million maintenance facility in Central Rivers, Staffordshire, England, where the company plans to maintain 34 Voyager and 44 Super Voyager trains Bombardier is manufacturing for Virgin Trains.



Bombardier already employs 120 workers at the site and expects to bump that number to 250 in 2003 when the full fleet is in service. Additional capacity would enable the company to offer maintenance to other train operators in the future.
