advertisement
A consortium comprising Bombardier Transportation and ALSTOM Transport Dec. 4 received a $312.5 million order from the French National Railway Co. (SNCF) for 18 TGV Duplex trainsets.
For its $56 million portion, Bombardier will manufacture two first-class vehicles, one second-class vehicle and six carrying bogies for each of the 10-car trainsets.
With this order, SNCF exercised options for a contract originally signed in October 2000. The trainsets are scheduled to be delivered between March 2004 and March 2005.
