Brightline tomorrow will launch simulated service to Miami.

The company will operate trains without passengers between Miami and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The simulated service is part of the required training and testing before revenue service begins "in the coming weeks," Brightline officials said in a press release.

Brightline's station in Miami is located in MiamiCentral, a new 11-acre multiuse complex in the city's downtown. MiamiCentral connects with several local public transit services, including Miami-Dade County's Metrorail system and South Florida Regional Transportation Authority's Tri-Rail network.

To accommodate the start of simulated service, Brightline has initiated a schedule change for its introductory service between Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida.

The company has been boosting rail safety efforts as it prepares to launch service to downtown Miami. For example, Brightline is working with Operation Lifesaver Inc. to urge residents to exercise caution around active tracks.
