Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) President Dorval R. Carter Jr. last week announced the completion of improvements at four Green Line stations.

F.H. Paschen performed the work at the 51st Street, Halsted, Cottage Grove and Kedzie stations. The work included replacing the existing light fixtures with LED lighting; painting stairwells and stair structures; repairing exit stairs; adding ADA-compliant hand rails; and installing new station signage.

The $12 million project was funded by CTA bonds issued in 2017.

In August 2018, the CTA awarded a $30 million contract to F.H. Paschen and S.N. Nielsen & Associates LLC to renovate the Grand, Chicago and Division stations on the Blue Line.
