Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) passengers soon will have Automated Teller Machine (ATM) access at 11 rail stations.

The board recently approved a contract for Bank One Corp. to furnish, install, replenish, operate and maintain the ATMs. In addition to a minimum payment, Bank One will pay CTA a percentage of ATM user fees collected at the stations. The contract is expected to generate an additional $144,300 in revenue annually, CTA officials said in a prepared statement.

By 2006, CTA expects to increase revenue $115 million through such alternative sources as lease-back agreements, advertising and parking facilities.
