advertisement
The California Transportation Commission recently allocated more than $357 million to help pay for Orange County Transportation Authority rail and freeway projects that had been on hold pending state funding.
In terms of rail projects, the commission will provide:
• $15.4 million for a parking structure at Metrolink’s Fullerton station;
• $12.3 million for fiber-optic work along Metrolink’s network in Orange County;
• $11.5 million for Metrolink service expansions and grade crossing enhancements; and
• $8.25 million for a parking structure at Metrolink’s Tustin station.
The commission allocated the money from state bonds sold last month. The projects are part of voter-approved bond programs that will fund transportation projects statewide.
