Caltrain, SamTrans seek the spotlight

advertisement

In true California spirit, transit agencies Caltrain and SamTrans are waiting to be discovered. The agencies are marketing their trains, buses and stations as movie, commercial or still photography locations to film commissions in San Francisco, San Mateo County and San Jose, and local chambers of commerce.

The agencies charge film permit fees ranging from $500 to $1,000, and a fee for staff assistance during filming. Caltrain and SamTrans will provide interested companies with information about insurance and safety requirements.

Caltrain previously has been featured in several commercials for companies such as Intel Corp., SBC and Scion Corp.
