advertisement
Last weekend, Caltrain opened a new northbound platform at the California Avenue station.
Accessible through a new pedestrian underpass at the facility's south end, the new platform features shelters, ticket validators, station boards, electronic message signs and a public-address system. A new ticket vending machine is located at the entrance to the underpass.
The new platform is part of a year-long project to expand track capacity and improve safety at both stations in Palo Alto, Calif. The $35 million project is scheduled to be complete in February.
