Caltrain recently completed a year-long renovation of Burlingame Station.

The agency spent $20.5 million to add a new pedestrian plaza, widen sidewalks, and construct fencing and shelters. In addition, Caltrain replaced the center boarding platform with outside boarding platforms. The previous configuration allowed only one train to serve the station at a time, which often caused service delays, Caltrain said.
