Capitol Corridor alters schedule to accommodate travelers to Levi's Stadium

Last week, Capitol Corridor added a weekend train schedule to meet demand for trips to events held at the new Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Highlights of the new schedule include rescheduled morning and afternoon/evening trains to accommodate an increase in passengers traveling to and from the stadium via the Santa Clara/Great America Station; and new direct daily train service between Placer County and San Jose, Calif., Capitol Corridor officials said in a press release.

"The stadium is an easy five-minute walk from the Santa Clara/Great America Station, making it a remarkably convenient option for passengers attending events from the East Bay or the Sacramento area," said Capitol Corridor Chairman James Spering.

Capitol Corridor trains complete over a dozen trips between Sacramento and Silicon Valley each day, including weekends.
