The Capitol Corridor Joint Powers Authority (CCJPA) last week introduced a multiride fare ticket for California college students as part of a larger Stride On Board rewards program.

The ticket offers riders with a valid student identification card a 25 percent discount for six rides over a one-year period on the Capitol Corridor train, which runs between San Jose and Auburn, California, CCJPA officials said in a press release.

Students who buy the ticket can also join Stride On Board via mobile application to receive coupons for use on trains in the cafe car, as well as at participating eco-friendly retailers within the CCJPA’s service area.

University campuses served by the 170-mile Capitol Corridor route and its dedicated bus network include the University of California, Davis; UC Berkeley; UC Santa Barbara; Santa Clara University; California State University, Chico; Humboldt State University and California Polytechnic State University.
