Chicago Metra's board recently reestablished the Metra Citizens Advisory Board (CAB) and appointed Metra Director James La Belle as the CAB liaison.
The original CAB was in place for many years, but disbanded after members left the board. The new CAB's function will be to meet with and counsel Metra's board quarterly on policies, programs and services that affect Metra's constituents. Metra board members each appoint a CAB representative to a two-year term.
To date, the following have been appointed representatives: Gary McClung, Patricia Mahon, Jamy Lyne, Sue Klinkhamer, Jeffrey Berman and Ernest Sawyer. In addition, C. Robert Wahlen and Pamela Pelizarri, two members of the original CAB, have been appointed.
Meanwhile, the Fort Worth Transportation Authority's (The T) board has elected new officers and members.
The board's new officers are: Gary Cumbie, chairman; Rosa Navejar, vice chairwoman; and Gary Havener, secretary.
Cumbie is donor relations officer at Tarrant County College Foundation; Navejar is executive director and president of the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce; and Havener is a real estate developer.
New board members are: Jesse Martinez, a retired executive of Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Co.; and Janet Saltsgiver, a retired Continental Telephone management employee.
